Aldinger 2020 Unterturkheimer Gips Riesling trocken
Gips is perhaps the most storied vineyard owned by Aldinger. A disused gypsum quarry, it was converted to vines in 1973. Like other converted quarries, such as the famed Kupfergrube in Schlossböckelheim, it gives rise to wines that seemingly explode with a mineral charge. The ravishing perfume and vibrant palate complete the picture. Riesling always seems to assert its supremacy in the face of the challenge of other grapes!

Notes from the Producer: An elegant Riesling with a fine and animating acidity. On the nose this Riesling shows slight aromas of mint, lemon balm and a powerful, yet elegant minerality. On the palate typical Riesling flavors of peach and lime alongside a salty minerality can be found.
